Hey Peter, what are the chances of a Cubs/Red Sox world series this year? By the way, I only became somewhat interested in the Red Sox after seeing the movie "Fever Pitch".

ReplyDeleteNo chance I think. The stars need to be lined up in some bizarre way to get Cubs and Red Sox in the same series.
Fever Pitch is a better film than I thought. I saw it thanks to XRT's Norm Winer who turned me on to it. He's from Boston- was known as Saxaphone Joe on WBCN in the 70s in Boston. I told him to see Game Six- a Michael Keaton film.
Game Six is about the '86 Red Sox, right, the Bill Buckner debacle? Haven't seen it but I'll put it on my list, thanks.

ReplyDeleteYep. Michael Keaton plays a playwrite who is a Sox fan and has a play opening on the day of game 6. Very good film, it was written by the greatt Don Delillo.
